We are embarking on a new journey. Through many events that have already accured this year, we have had faith building in our lives. I will share what we have been

up to. Having a baby, starting to travel around Alaska to minister, getting ready to sale our house, getting ready to move to Canada... etc. We have been a roller coaster for our lovly friends here. But God is first and we are starting this year out with adventure.

My back and everything justabout get really sore by the end of the day. But othe then that she is growing just fine I cannot wait till we can set our eyes on her. Anchorage

On labor day My Mom, Dad, Hollister, And I took a little trip to Anchorage its about 6 hr drive... we had other plans but they kinda fell through bringing us to this little adventure. Roger couldnt make it he had hunting plans I was sad but ok with the freezer being being full again. Th first nigh was so horrible only a family could share. We stayed in the worst motel ever invented I think. Due to our previous plans we hadnt planned on staying in a motel so at the last minute, only thing we could find. I cant even explain how it was lets just say Hollister and I slept in our clothes on top of the blankets curled up with his and my jacket. The following day was fun we walked all around Anchorage and saw the sights.... taht night we staed at a much better place. We had a wonderful time. The next afternoon was time to head home. On the way home we decided to take our time a garage sale along the Alaska Highway.... closer to home we got to see one Alaska'a finest a Fox they are hard to take photos of but i did manage to take these. Too long

Its been too long since I have had time just to sit and update. Well My parents are both here my Dad has been here a little over two months, my Mom has been here for a month yesterday. Its been fun I think Roger is getting overwhelmed but he is great. Hollister is just getting more and more spoiled. I really don't mind if this is how I get to spend time with my parents, to wait until my Dad comes to work I really don't mind. I haven't got to spend time with them like this in five years so its wonderful, they both see my little life over here. I love them so much if I had it my way I would want them to leave everything for me. I know I know it is terribly selfish. Can't I be selfish after five years good grief. So that's a little update I will post more pics of a our recent adventures soon. love ya and thanks for stoping by.

I was cleaning in another room when I heard this noise, came out and found Hollister had pulled his little riding toy up to the piano and started playing. He was laughing out loud too. Couldn't really get him to reinact any of it, but this is close enough (oh and he say car listen really carefully) Hope you enjoy!

These little hands and feet

This morning I felt a sharp pain in my back it was like a stabbing pain. I woke up and realized Hollister was in our bed and he had his little feet stuck in my rib cage (it felt like). I grabbed those little feet and as I thought to push those tiny toes to a different side of the bed I begin to thank God for those little feet. I began to ask God to help Hollister in all seasons of his life to "walk" in God's will. I touched those little hands, as soon as Hollis felt my hand, he wrapped those little fingers around my one finger and kept sleep. I felt such love I could almost cry, I felt uncertainty, I felt comforted, I felt happiness, I felt sadness, I was feeling all of these emotions at once. Lord let Hollister's hands do what you want them to do help them to be blessed, help these little fingers touch people that need to know about you Lord.

The uncertainty was gone, I felt piece, In the Bible it talks about leading your children in truth... its like giving them tools in a tool belt and saying alright I taught you how to use these. Now you go and build your own house and I will pray it all comes along just fine. No matter where that house may be, Alaska, Africa, Hawaii, Canada, Europe.... wherever it may be you have the right tools for your house (life). This was heavy on my mind at 4 a.m this morning.

What a crazy site. I was amazed at how much this ice/snow dam actually took out in its path. Break-up, That's what the locals call it around here. The town was fascinated and watched it like a parade or something. People just parked and or standing along the rivers edge. The chena river runs right through Fairbanks. Little kids jumping up and down, parents making sure the kiddos didn't get to close. everyone sat and ate lunch as they watched the river with full trees and huge ice blocks rushing so fast down. it was amazing to watch. We decided what a cheap adventure for Hoss. So here we are watching the river with its thick chunks of nature debris. What a family event it was you al missed. I will post a video.

What a week

This week was something fascinating yet devastating for me. My friend lost her husband at 27 years old in a snow machine/avalanche accident. I have never felt so much pain for somebody. This was a new place in life, a new experience, new feelings, new emotions. I know through Christ anything is possible. I say even the strongest person in a room full of loved ones, and dear friends, through all of that God can do something bring you somewhere, take you to a new understanding of love. This mountain my friend Mandy is facing will be the biggest one yet. She is so strong, her heart and mind set on life and its challenges to come. I was amazed at how God gave Mandy that strength and courage and hope.
Yes there will be the dark times. And yes there will be the " mourning time" all the steps in mourning are just awful. And yes she has so many people praying for her. but those simple little things she would ask like, am I still considered married? Do I keep this last name? why did God allow this? just got to me. This devastating time brings your thoughts to your own young life. Love is easy, life is hard.

Luba our yellow mutt is tugging Hollister in the sled. They where going so fast. Hollister was laughing very hard... the faster the better. At one point Luba saw one of her friends and took off we couldn't stop her for anything and there was Hollister bumping along behind her, scary but absolutely hysterical.

here is Hollister and his two only first cousin's Aleah, and Natania. They came for a couple of days and had a great time. We didn't do a lot but it fun to have Roger's sister and Husband out with there two beautiful girls. They live in Whitehorse Canada so we don't see them as often as we would like. Hollister had a great time with them. It is fun to see him interact with other kids.

Roger Dean Yadon, he is so rad to me. My rock climing, out-dooring, stud, is most of all A man of God. I appreciate the time an effort he spends with god. He is going to trane our son the right way. The way of truth, light and hope. I am so excited to see what else god can do in our little family.

Recently Roger came up with a great idea, we would have a spring break event with not only our youth group but the rest of Alsaka Yukon youth as well. We called it Catalyst (a person or an event that causes change). Three days, food, games, awsome preaching, tubing, and lots of prayer. Roger amazed me with his planning, he deligated the right people for the right jobs, he knew what he wanted to accomplish and went for it, he had the right minister for the job. Roger had the vision and burden, and showed us (youth leaders accross Alaska) that vision and burden. He started a fire and it is spreading like wild. I love and thank my "hunny" for giving us that flame. God gave this to Roger and he took off with it. Thank you baby for following God.

Hollister Dean he can be such a silly guy... sometimes we get the camera out and he puts things into his nose right when we decide to snap the picture. He brings Roger and I joy. We have been teaching him baby sign language to minimize the fits for communication purposes. He does well. And we noticed every child has there own technique. If Roger or I do not know what he wants he will do every sign he knows (only like 5 signs) to try and get us to understand he just wants juice. I guess we should teach him a little sig just for that but it is fun to see the little things you teach him coming out in his own way. we are so blessed to have such a good boy. He is 17 Months and full of life. Taking after each of my brothers. Jared's dimples, Nate's cool gap.

The cold sunshine

Yet another morning, and here we are with the beautiful sun shining on the snow. Making it virtually imposable to see the roads. We wish for sunshine all year. It has come out day after day this month. The sun brings no warmth though. It is still just 19 degrees. I want to bask in it, i want to swim in it, this California girl wants to be outside with her boys. But we will have to wait for another 2 months before the snow begins to melt away and the sun rays are actually felt.
